Dominican Republic 2009, Arrival Day
A few short plane rides to warmth and sunshine. Our amazing! villa was about an hour's ride from the Santiago Airport. Our host welcome us with a complimentary meal at Los Dos, where the Veterinarian/Chef cooked up an unexpectedly impressive meal.
Dominican Republic 2009, In & Around the Villa
We stayed at a 5 bedroom, 4 bath villa, equipped with a jacuzzi, swimming pool, chef, maid, watchman, and drive. Spectacular views of the countryside and water, to boot.
Dominican Republic 2009, Dune Buggy Adventure
Who knew mud and dune buggies could be so much fun? I did, I did! Our Dune Buggy/ATV adventure took us through the back roads near Puerto Plata, through a small roadside town, up to an amazingly beautiful beach, and in to plenty of mud! Such a blast!
Dominican Republic 2009, Puerto Plata City Tour
While poverty-ridden in parts, the Dominican Republic countryside was beautiful. We traveled to see where the locals lived, visited the Brugal rum factory, spent time at an old world fort, and has a Dominican-style meal.

Looking forward to the cooler weather of Fall. It is blazing hot! I had two lobster rolls the other day that made me think of you. Always welcome to come up to NYC! Love you.
